I’ve seen Metallica 4 times and every time has been amazing. After more than 16 hours of traveling, I arrived in Nashville September 14, 2009 with just enough time to drop off our luggage, grab our tickets and get downtown for the Metallica show at the Sommet Center.
My brother had been waiting in line for the floor and was standing inside the security area awaiting my arrival. Even though we were there 40 minutes after the doors opened, we still made it to the front.

i just found a video over at my buddy, steven brian’s, myspace page of the recording session we did in June. Prior to going in the red, we did some rehearsals, for which, i surprised the guys with a ’stache. check it out, it’s awesome.

gift of waters purpose is to provide accessible clean drinking water to children and families in developing countries. proceeds from this show go towards their work in Haiti.

two things: i’ve got to get my hands on a wii. played one for the first time today at work (… yes, work) and have to get one. don’t know how it works, but it does – and it’s cool. which leads me to my second point…

had an awesome time tonight at the muse, playing with a couple of local bands and an independent band on tour. it was hotter than blazes up there – knew it would be cause our last venture at the muse was an inferno as well. great to share the stage with the bands we played with… all were very good and entertaining.

our new bixler cd’s came in today, along with our 11×18 posters, and everything looks outstanding (if i must say so myself, and at this point i must – since no one else has seen them). cd’s are available for $5 on our site or our show’s… take a look at our tour dates and come out if you can (don’t forget to bring an extra $5 for the cd!)!

the Bixler machine is really kickin’ it into high gear. we have 17 shows on the books between now and the end of february. take a look at our myspace to see if we’re coming to a city near you… if we aren’t, shoot us a message and help us make it happen.

it’s been about two years (holy crap – time flies) since our (bixler) last real club show. we’ve played at youth rallies, camps and other random events… but not a true club show… until last night. i hadn’t forgotten how much i love playing live, cause goodness knows i love it. but, i’ve missed playing live in a major way. there’s nothing like it.
back before our sudden hiatus, we were playing a lot – with some really good bands. thankfully, last night was just the beginning…
